Blue Magnolia mushrooms are a less widely documented Psilocybe cubensis variety. Like all cubensis varieties, they belong to the same species, with the varietal name distinguishing a line of spores rather than a different organism entirely.

Because this variety is not as well documented as many others, publicly available information about its background and commonly reported characteristics is limited. Experiences reported with cubensis varieties in general range from mild perceptual shifts to more intense, immersive sessions, depending on many individual factors.
